I’ve been part of Boundby since its inception in 2022. As the Production Manager, I’m responsible for building our website and publishing poems — which means I get a sneak peak at all of the poems before they go live!

As Boundby enters a new era, I’d love to see poets bringing their authentic selves to their poetry, creating poems that are undeniably them, and couldn’t be easily attributed to someone else.

As writers, we often talk about the intimidating blank page, or about writer’s block. Although poetry is often heralded as the difficult one, in this regard I’d argue it’s easier; poetry offers forms like the sonnet or sestina as a framework to get you going, from where your poem can grow in any direction it likes!
